This website was created as part of an English assignment by the sophomores of Servite High School during the 2015/16 school year.
Weeblies must be completed by Friday, September 11th. Prior to creating the web page, all articles must be completed and submitted to turnitin.com. I will also collect the articles as Word documents (hard copies) on Friday, September 11th.
Class presentations will begin Monday, September 21st.
Learning Objective: Students will create a Weebly web page to describe the key characteristics of their topic and explain its cultural connections.
After reading Mythology by Edith Hamilton over the summer, students worked in teams to build a page for their assigned mythological character that included the following information:

- Type of god or hero along with some sort of power-level or intelligence-level rating
- Known associations: friends, enemies, connections to other gods, other myths
- Corresponding origin or myth
- God’s or hero’s abilities
- Qualities, attributes: strengths, weaknesses
- Relation/interactions with humanity
- Known foes of the god/goddess or hero
- Works of literature based on or influenced by the myth or hero
- Where the god/hero’s influence is seen today. (In the world of sports, history, entertainment, advertising or politics?)
- Any connections with movies, comic books, or other popular cultural expressions.
- An image of the work of art
- A brief biography of the artist who produced the work of art
- An interpretation or discussion of how the myth is used or modified by the artist to suit his audience and theme.
Regarding images:
Students were required to include either a creator's credit or MLA citation for any images that were posted on a character's web page.
